The Social Justice Scholars Program Applications Open
The Social Justice Scholars Program is an initiative of the Andrew Young Center’s Institute for Social Justice Inquiry and Praxis. The purpose of this opportunity is to expose students to fields and training related to local and global social justice issues. The social justice program takes a holistic approach to training students to pursue careers related to social justice. Social Justice Scholars are required to:
• Participated in an in-person internship at a local non-profit organization (approximately 10 hours per week);
• Maintain at least a 3.0 overall grade point average;
• Participate in a capstone presentation; and
• Commit to two-semesters as a social justice scholar.
• Attend biweekly meetings;
• Mandatory attendance at least one AYCGL Study Tour per academic year;
• Participation in a fully funded study abroad experience in Ireland (J-Mester 2026); • Attendance at two lectures per semester;
• Participation in a service-learning project;
Students will receive $2,500 per semester for successfully completing the program requirements. Learn more here.
