AYC-HEP Faculty Teaching Affiliates: Opportunities for Faculty

The Higher Education in Prisons Program in the Andrew Young Center [AYC-HEP] supports Morehouse faculty who teach humanities courses to incarcerated men and women in Georgia prisons. The AYC-HEP Program provides participating faculty with a stipend, training, books, and a travel allowance. HEP-affiliated faculty from Morehouse deliver these humanities classes and enrichment seminars at Burruss Prison, METRO Reentry, and the Federal Correctional Institution in Atlanta. Primary community partners include Common Good Atlanta, Georgia Coalition of Higher Education in Prisons, and the Bard Prison Initiative. For more information about this opportunity for service and leadership, contact Dr. Kipton Jensen @kipton.jensen@morehouse.edu.
