SMASH Scholars Program

Founded in fall 2020, the Morehouse College SMASH Scholars Program was a scholarship program for alumni of the summer SMASH Academy for high school students. The SMASH High School Program is a three-year STEM-intensive residential college prep program for underrepresented students of color, designed to empower students to deepen their talents and pursue STEM careers. The Morehouse SMASH Scholars Program was funded for four academic years, 2020 – 2024, and supported a cohort of 18 STEM majors, providing financial support, social justice leadership development experiences, and academic advising. Dr. Jann Adams served as the director and Dr. Wallace Sharif as the faculty lead of the SMASH Scholars Program.
