Financial Awards for Studying Abroad

The Andrew Young Fund for International Scholars was established in fall 2023 to support students with financial need who study abroad. The scholarship, funded by a $1 million gift to the AYCGL, will award up to $2400 to support students participating in faculty-led study abroad programs and up to $1400 to students participating in semester-long study abroad programs. Students planning to study abroad are encouraged to apply for the award.

Delta Airlines’ support of study abroad at Morehouse has been critical to the development and implementation of study abroad programs at the college. Delta’s most recent award to the Andrew Young Center funded the Delta Airlines Study Abroad Award. During the 2022-23 academic year, this award provides a scholarship for each Morehouse student participating in an approved faculty/staff-led study abroad program.

During the 2022-23 academic year, Morehouse offered the Julian Grace Social Justice Award to advance global social justice leadership development and  the study of inequalities and civil and human rights. By providing students an opportunity to benefit from these transformative social justice-focused global experiences, the Julian Grace Award generated student research on social justice challenges, innovative solutions to global pressing issues, and leadership development among Morehouse College students.
